Try to realize today in your own experience that with the bombardment of information that you are constantly being inundated with, it can be very easy to lay down your own empirical evidence of life and just take blindly what you’ve read, or heard. Way too often, people give away common sense and just parrot what was taken from others since it can be so loud.
This happens with so many things; food, sleep, relationships, sports, education, business, sex, love, blah, blah, blah, the list goes on.
Obviously, I’m not saying to not gather information since living in your own fixed ideas isn’t great either. But, if you just give away your faculties to others, you then become dependent on people to tell you how to live, as you no longer can trust your inner light to guide you, or more so, know how to access it anymore because you become a chronic overthinker and on the other end, a chronic Googler.
Google: How many hours of sleep do I need?
Google: What should I eat?
Google: Should I go to work today?
Google: Are showers bad for me?
Google: How many kisses should I give my gf/bf in a day?
Information from the outside is like commercials, it’s all trying to stick to you, and once it does, you then are the vessel to move it along further. This is not always negative, but when you spend the majority of your life just taking in from the outer, you can quickly forget that the inner is also valuable. In reality, the outer and inner is ultimately one, but in this teeter totter world, we tend to always gravitate to one of the sides, and neglect the other. Once we get tired of one of the sides, we move quickly to the other to correct course, and again get amnesia, which makes us forget that balance is key.
Common sense is the balance between two worlds. If you can find the spot that keeps you from tipping to either side, it may help you to see things from both polarities.
