Tethered

Try to notice through your own experience that almost as soon as you linked up with this human, you started learning through direct experience. In the beginning, your parents or those raising you, are very responsible for your survival, as you’ve seen for yourself, a human baby, is cute, but mostly useless on their own. Your only power in baby form to communicate your needs is to use cries to show that you don’t like something or are in need of something.

As your attachment to the human becomes more strong, through time spent with it, plus, with the body growing with nourishment from earthly resources, aka food. You become more familiar with the apparatus that is this human. You learn that it has all sorts of parts; a face, arms, hands, legs, feet. And those are just some of the outside stuff.  All these take time to discover how to use.  You also experience that there is certain feelings, and energy that come with this earthly vessel. Some learn how to master these, for others, these are constantly creating tension during their time on this planet.

Eventually, you started developing,  grasping, and understanding the world with the human mind as well.  This too takes lots of experience to get the hang of. All of this is very complex, and as we get further and further along with development, we can easily forget how these steps occurred.

At some point we get so tethered to this human, that we start to create an identity with it. It becomes a me. Just like the body on some level, the identity is even more malleable. It can be formed in countless of ways. For some, their identity is very strongly created and with it they go full force through the world, mostly, on a conquest of survival on whatever level they are operating on. For others, they are constantly confused and flip flop trying to find what best identity suites their needs, or gives them an upper hand.

This me learns that their human’s vary survival depends on its skills because that is the currency that society functions on. To develop these so called skills that we will need to give us advantages, we try all sorts of things, some that we like, some that we hate.

All of this is totally natural and it’s quite fascinating to watch especially when you spend a lot of time with small humans.

Where this gets really tricky, is when we grow up because many times we aren’t aware this whole process even happened, and at the same time we think we know so much because with the mind we have learned a lot of useful things along the way, and we recite them to others because our outwardly value can grow this way. But what many don’t realize, is that you can eventually get so trapped being a parrot, just reciting some sounds and words, even thinking they are yours, that you miss out on seeing how this all started and how the mind operates. Much of this is because we as a collective are more interested in using its functions, and also, because it’s really complicated, and who has time to actually take a deep dive, and if so, how do you do it?

Oh look, a shiny rock!
Let me not forget, there are many shiny rocks strategically placed to grab your attention. Sometimes they are fun to look at and play with, but these can occupy your entire human experience. Nothing wrong here, perse, but ignorance is just not seeing what is right in front of your eyes, and suffering a lot more than is needed because of it.

Okay, goodbye!

Jk! I won’t leave you there.  If you’ve collected enough of those rocks and realized that it’s not enough.  Then this is why Be Human, Not a Zombie is here, it’s to get you see at least a few things that you may not be aware of yet. Take your time, it will be here for your use when you are seeking for more.

If you want to start now, there is the Book that explains this stuff more deeply, or if you aren’t a reader, you can check out the Practice section, where you can try a few things.

Either way, thanks for stopping by and see ya around!
